What does your company do?
Odelay Films is a B Corp® Certified production company. We are a passionate collective of filmmakers specialising in producing compelling commercials, branded content, films, and documentaries.
Why should new directors in particular be interested in your company?
We are passionate filmmakers in our own right and have 20+ years of experience across film, TV, and advertising, which we are always willing to share. We are also a values-driven company keen on environmental sustainability and championing female and underrepresented directors, so always support them with our inisght.
Diversity Leadership:
We are creeping up to an almost 50% female director roster. We are consistently aiming to diversify our ever-evolving roster.
We have a mentoring/intern/director shadowing schemes
We also have diversity initiatives to measure the diversity within our crew for each production.
We are a female run organisation with our Managing Directors, Head of Advertising and Producer being female. We have directors and team members from across the UK and Europe.
As Shiny members, we are supporting free entries for Shiny’s education & training partners (Mama Youth, Brixton Finishing School, Creative Mentor Network, LSA, ELAM and universities & colleges worldwide).
Also as we are on the jury panel for the Shiny awards, we donate prizes to support new & diverse filmmakers.
An interesting fact:
All our productions are net carbon neutral, and we usually, when possible, serve (delicious) vegan food on set.

We do have a database of freelance directors that we contact when appropriate, but not a roster.
