Student entries to Shiny
Entry is free for students & people who graduated in the last 12 months.
Please don’t enter work over 5 mins runtime, it isn’t eligible and won’t be viewed.
The first consideration is whether the entry will be included in the Shiny Shortlist. This database of +400 recommended new directors, is used by member producers, EPs, Heads of Production, Director Reps and etc to find new talent.
Eligible entries are usually viewed and the entrant contacted about Shiny Shortlist status within 2 weeks of entry.
All student entries that make it onto the Shiny Shortlist are also considered for the next stage, which is screening at the next event, whether a Showcase or the Awards.
All Showcase screenings are considered for the next Shiny Awards after the Showcase screening.
Entrants are contacted about screening status for any event after that event’s deadline and generally a few days before the event.
