Shiny DEI policy
Objectives:
- To constantly create a credible pool of new & diverse director talent, promoted widely to the advertising production industry
- To clarify entry routes and career prospects in advertising production for all new content creators who engage with Shiny
- Facilitate connection between new talent and the producers, creatives and marketers in advertising production
- Ensure an inclusive workplace culture for people working for Shiny
Actions:
- Apply DEI quotas to screening lists, jury panels, people working for Shiny and all other areas where Shiny has agency
- Use statistics to measure progress in achieving DEI objectives, published annually on the Shiny website
- Work with SHINY’s DEI Advisory Group to ensure relevance & accountabilty

- We do this mainly by screening new work at ad agency and brand offices. 70% of work shown is by directors from under-represented demographics
- We create opportunities for new talent to connect with advertising professionals and to learn about advertising production via our industry members
