How do you describe your company?
Formed in 2014 by Matt and Lucy Brown, Dark Energy is a multi-award winning, London based Production Company servicing the Advertising Industry.
Why should new directors be interested in your company?
Dark Energy looks after an exclusive roster of 20+ leading commercial directors, but also represents and produces for over 180 directors repped elsewhere or freelance. We have a huge range of active contacts across all aspects of commercial content commissioning and we’re always interested in new director talent.
How diverse is your directors roster/ contact book?
It’s pretty good on gender diversity, not bad on ethnic diversity, we’re actively looking to move forward with this.
How diverse are people at your organisation?
Again, it’s good on gender diversity (50:50 ownership), junior staff have been 50-100% from under-represented ethnicities over the last 4 years.
Other diversity initiatives:
As Shiny members, we are supporting free entries for Shiny’s education & training partners (Mama Youth, Brixton Finishing School, Creative Mentor Network, LSA, ELAM and universities & colleges worldwide).
Also as we are on the jury panel for the Shiny awards, we donate prizes to support new & diverse filmmakers.
